You're In
Welcome to Mentor Me Black
The Black-to-Black Personal and Professional Mentorship Platform.
Here's how to get the most out of it — in 5 simple steps.
Your Quick-Start Guide
Create Your Account
Sign up at mentormeblack.com/signup. It takes under 2 minutes. You'll need an email address and a password.
Sign Up Now →Complete Your Profile
Tell us about yourself — your background, expertise, goals, and what you're looking for in a mentorship relationship. The more detail, the better your match.
Go to Dashboard →Choose Your Role
You can be a Mentor, a Mentee, or both. There's no wrong answer. Many of our members are both — learning from someone ahead of them while guiding someone behind.
Wait for Your Match
Our team personally reviews every match to ensure quality connections. You'll receive an email notification when you've been matched.
Schedule Your First Session
Once matched, reach out to your mentor or mentee through the platform and schedule your first conversation. A quick 30-minute intro call is a great start.
Common Questions
Is this really free?
Yes, 100% free — forever. No hidden fees, no premium tiers, no catch. Mentor Me Black is a community-driven platform funded by corporate sponsors and grants.
Who can join?
Anyone 18 or older who is Black or African American, or who is committed to Black-to-Black mentorship. Mentors volunteer their time. Mentees bring their ambition.
What if I want to be both a mentor and a mentee?
You can. Many members are in both roles simultaneously. You'll have separate profile sections for each, and your dashboard will show both "As Mentor" and "As Mentee" tabs.
How long does matching take?
During our beta phase, matches are reviewed personally by our team. We aim to match everyone within 1–2 weeks. We'll email you when your match is ready.
What happens after I'm matched?
You and your match will be introduced through the platform. From there, you schedule sessions, set goals, and build a real relationship at your own pace.
